Face lit 3D lettering and logos
Internally illuminated letters can be made as built up 3D lettering, where each built up letter is individually lit from within using LED modules that shine through a translucent acrylic in your brand’s colour.
Face lit signs are incredibly bold and striking – an excellent option for illuminated shop signs. If you’re looking for something with a soft glow, a halo lit sign might be better suited.
Halo lit lettering and logos
Halo lit signs are illuminated using LED modules that shine from behind an opaque material, creating a soft glow that appears as a halo effect.
The lettering and logos can be built up in acrylic or metal, or can be flat face letters made from a variety of materials including aluminium composite, foamex, acrylic, brushed steel, and more.
Illuminated sign trays
Illuminated sign trays are one of the most versatile and inexpensive types of illuminated building signs and can be made in a variety of materials, including powder coated aluminium, aluminium composite and brushed or polished stainless steel.
The sign tray is then stencil cut with your design - for example your company logo – and then lit from within using bright LED lights, so all wiring and face fixings are completely out of sight.
Trough lighting
Trough lighting is a sleek and inexpensive way to provide illumination to your signage. The trough light is an unobstructed bar that is fixed above your sign to provide a simple but effective downlight.
Trough lighting can be used for a variety of different signs including non-illuminated sign boards and projecting signs, and the fixing bar can be powder coated in any standard RAL colour to match your brand.
Illuminated flex face signs
Flex face signs are a cost-effective solution for large scale illuminated graphics. Printed directly onto the fabric, the fabric skins are then stretched over an aluminium frame for a perfect fit with absolutely no joins.
These LED illuminated signs are popular within retail parks, industrial estates, airports and sporting and events arenas, and more.
Illuminated fret cut sign
Fret cut signs are an increasingly popular choice for illuminated shop signs as well as projecting signs to match the main sign.
This type of sign illuminates the cut out lettering or logo from within. The lettering is cut out from the sign tray and backed with a translucent acrylic material, which can be either clear or in your brand colour.
Illuminated light boxes
Outdoor light box signs can be single or double sided, wall mounted, projecting, hanging or even free standing, and are a versatile system for when you need a bright illuminated display.
They can be made in a variety of different shapes including square, rectangular and circular, and in a variety of dimensions too.
Custom LED neon effect signs
Faux neon uses long-lasting LEDs to recreate the iconic retro feel of neon signs. Unlike a traditional neon sign, faux neon can be made into almost any shape and size, and with a wide range of colours, meaning greater brand accuracy.
Plus, with low voltage and environmentally friendly LEDs, faux neon signs costs around 80% less to run than traditional neon signs.
Illuminated projecting signs
Illuminated projecting signs - also known as projecting lightbox signs – help your business to become visible to people approaching your business from all directions during the day and night.
These signs are lit from within and are generally made from an acrylic front within an aluminium case or a folded piece of aluminium with your design routed out of the panel.

We're often asked, "How much does an illuminated sign cost?" and there's no simple answer because it depends on what kind of sign you're looking for. The cost of an illuminated commercial business sign can vary depending on the type of sign, size, shape, materials and whether it’s internally or externally lit.
Trough lighting is generally the most inexpensive option and will cost around £150 - £700, depending on length of the light, plus the cost of your fascia sign. The next option up would be an internally illuminated fret cut sign tray or illuminated flex face sign. Prices start from around £750.
Then there are the more premium options, which include individually lit letters and halo lit letters. The cost of halo lit and individually lit letters generally starts at around £650 and increase based on the size and number of letters / logos.
